When you go trekking it is necessary to check all the equipment. You need to bring water, a raincoat in case it rains, a backpack that is not too big or too small to be able to carry what you need or what you have left over. That’s when you lace up your walking boots, and head out into the bush. I am lucky to live near one that allows me to go trekking without having to take the car.
I love hiking. It is one of my favorite activities. I’m not very good at it, but I like the challenge of it. The other day, I was out hiking and realized that I had forgotten my backpack. I got a little mad at myself, but decided to go on without her. I’m glad I did, because I had a great time. It’s a great way to exercise and get some fresh air. It can be challenging, but that’s part of the fun. Next time you go hiking I won’t forget my backpack as the hike was really hard this time. The hills were steeper than usual and the road was narrower. But I kept going, determined to finish the walk. Half way through, I started to feel very tired and thirsty. I knew that if I didn’t find water soon, I would start to get dehydrated.
Fortunately, there was a stream nearby and I was able to drink my fill. I sat down to rest and enjoy the scenery. After a few minutes, I felt refreshed and ready to finish the hike.
I’m glad I didn’t let my forgetfulness stop me from enjoying a great hike. It was a good reminder that even when things don’t go as planned, we can still have fun and achieve our goals.
